UHY Haines Norton guarantees compliances with New Zealand equivalents to International Auditing Standards on all our engagements and ensures adherence to all professional and ethical requirements as issued by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

PCAOB requirements

Since May 2005 we have been a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). PCAOB is the private sector, non-profit organisation created by the Sarbanes - Oxley Act of 2002 to oversee the auditors of public companies and its job is to protect the interests of investors and further public interest in the preparation of informative, fair and independent Audit Reports.

FOF requirements

The UHY network is a full member of the Forum of Firms, an association of international networks of accounting firms. The Forum's goal is to promote consistent and high quality standards of cross-border financial reporting and Auditing practices worldwide, and the adoption of international Auditing standards. Our membership with the Forum of Firms allows transnational Audit appointments incorporating large issuers and listed entities.

ISQC 1 requires firms to implement a system of quality control that should include policies and procedures addressing each of the following elements:
• leadership responsibilities for quality within the firm
