JWT intelligence, a New York based global marketing communications brand, has released its 100 annual trends to watch for in 2013.  Predictions include the rise of ‘peer power’, and ‘trust ratings’ affecting consumer choice; while brands increasingly use data analytics to predict customer behaviour, then tailor offers very precisely in what is becoming known as ‘predictive personalisation’.  The marketers at JWT also foresee the rise of everyday objects evolving into smart devices, but this may not be news to you – especially if you are reading this on your smart phone.
