A recent study completed by cloud accounting company Xero revealed that New Zealand businesses are faster to adopt cloud accounting technology than their counterparts in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. The study discovered that 18% of New Zealand small- to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) were using cloud software to manage their accounts, compared with 11% in the other countries surveyed.
The survey also revealed that out of those New Zealand SMEs not currently using cloud accounting, a whopping 42% planned to convert to cloud within the next year.
These results indicate that New Zealand business owners are not only aware but quick to embrace the benefits that cloud accounting can provide, including mobility, real time information, security, ease of use and affordability.
