Apart from a handful of years playing for Samoa, Heinie has been playing for New Zealand since 1998. As the team’s left-handed pitcher, he played an integral role in the Black Sox’s victory over Argentina to gain New Zealand the title of World Champions in 2013.
The 2015 Men’s World Softball Championships are being held in Saskatoon, Canada during June. The event showcases a total of 73 games with 16 countries from around the globe competing. We wish Heinie and the rest of the Black Sox team the best of luck.
