A new website has been developed and is now live at: www.hendersonlincolnbusiness.co.nz, providing an understanding of the Association’s objectives, activities, members, upcoming events and news. E-newsletters have also been instigated to keep everyone informed on activities.
Regular networking events are being hosted by businesses in the heart of the area to help develop a cohesive business community. Additionally, this month saw the first information seminar offered with the topic of how ACC applies to businesses.
The Association has already launched a number of key initiatives aimed at improving the area’s economic activity. Proposals to increase the bus timetable, prevent the sale of psychoactive substances, and improve road signage for businesses have all been submitted on behalf of the Henderson business community.
With security remaining a major concern, several projects targeting crime prevention are underway. A crime-prevention programme with security patrols has been implemented, as a test case to support funding for an ongoing security presence in the greater Henderson area. Discussions have commenced with the Auckland Council regarding installing CCTV cameras in Henderson, and the Association is also working with the Council to support Henderson’s proposed Crime Prevention Programme. The Association is also working closely with the police to ensure there is a strong partnership and understanding of the problems currently faced by businesses.
The Henderson Lincoln Business Association is committed to promoting the interests of its members. The Association is currently looking for Committee Members – for more information please contact Robynne Pringle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
