We are excited to welcome three new staff members to our Henderson team.
Carley Bosman has joined us as our new Receptionist/Administrator. Carley comes to us from a Sales and Lending specialist role at Westpac. Wanting a better work/life balance, she has chosen to work close to home again. When she isn’t working she enjoys travelling, eating and going to the gym and the beach.
Natasha Hirst is stepping into a newly-created Accountancy Support role. Natasha was previously Office Manager at a sheet metal firm for over 11 years. A West Auckland local, outside of work she keeps busy with her two teenage daughters and loves travelling, game fishing, shopping (according to her family!) and spending time with friends.
Our new Senior Accountant is Erin Gibson. Erin comes to us from a mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm in the Auckland CBD and has over 5 years’ experience in Business Advisory Services. Erin has a young family and enjoys baking (which we’ll be only too happy to sample should she need extra opinions!).
We have bid a sad farewell to two members of our Administration team, Sarah Legg and Lynn Eaton. Sarah will be spending time at home with her family, and Lynn has many plans on the go with her dancing and jewellery businesses. We wish them both the very best for the future.
Several staff members have been celebrating exam results in a wonderful end to their study year. Tadius Munapeyi, our Business Manager Assurance and Advisory, has passed his Advanced Audit and Assurance exam to now become a fully licensed Auditor. Auditor Mohamed Irshad has passed his Financial Reporting and Audit and Assurance CPA Module exams. And Accountant Wendy Dong has been studying extremely hard to pass the very demanding PCE2 exam. Congratulations to everyone on these hard-earned achievements!
This year the UHY staff Christmas party was held at the Stardome – a (somewhat) closely guarded secret location! We were treated to surreal laser and light shows, amazing food and dancing. Unfortunately the wet evening didn’t allow us to view the stars through their Zeiss telescope, but as you can tell we all had a lot of fun dressing up in the photo booth!
