We are delighted to welcome Lisa Ramachandran to the UHY team as a new Graduate Auditor. Originally from Malaysia, Lisa completed some primary schooling and all of her high school years at local schools right here in Henderson. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Auckland, majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law. The UHY audit team continues to expand in line with growing demand for our audit services and Lisa will be a great addition to this busy department!
Lisa is excited to start her career in the audit field, saying: “Working as an auditor is something I have wanted to do ever since I was a little girl as I always admired two of my aunts who ran their own firm and are also auditors. It was just something I always admired, and it motivated me to complete a degree in Accounting. Also, my strong teamwork ethic means I’ll be able to nurture long-term, rewarding relationships with people who can pass their wealth of knowledge on to me. As an auditor, one learns about a wide range of disciplines, from consulting to finance and more. I can see there is a lot of room for growth.”
Outside of work and study, Lisa finds that baking and cooking is a great stress reliever. She loves to read a good book, listen to music or watch movies to relax, as well as socialise with friends. She has also loved travelling around the world and trying out different cuisines in the past, and like so many of us hopes there will be opportunities to do this again in the near future.
This month we say goodbye to one of our Senior Accountants in Henderson, Dhruv Mehta. We wish Dhruv the very best for the next chapter in his career.
