Kerry joined UHY Haines Norton in 1990 and was a Director for 25 years. After many years of working closely with clients on their accounting, tax, business planning and structuring needs, he is now a consultant to the firm and continues to provide specialist expertise to assist clients.
In particular, Kerry specialises in business valuations, a service line he was instrumental in establishing and growing for the practice. He applies his experience and knowledge to develop objective, accurate business and share valuations for clients looking to sell, purchase, restructure or expand a business. Kerry also advises clients on how to improve the value of their business over time, providing intuitive insights and long-term strategies that deliver tangible results. He is a strong advocate of using business valuations as a tool to prepare your business for sale early. He believes that identifying opportunities to make savings and improve profitability over time puts business owners in the strongest possible position to maximise sales value when the time comes.
Kerry’s reputation is built on his long-standing work ethic of always putting the client first. His insightful, intelligent expertise has always focused on delivering value to his clients: solving problems, capitalising on opportunities and getting results. Tim Livingstone joined the practice in 1983 and was a Director of the firm for more than 30 years, including 10 years as Managing Director. Now a valued consultant, Tim provides specialist expertise to help individuals and businesses overcome challenges, capitalise on opportunities, optimise, plan, improve and take their operations to the next level. He has an unparalleled capacity to help his clients succeed and is passionate about always putting the clients’ needs first.
Tim’s busy and varied career includes implementing significant strategic changes at UHY Haines Norton. During his time as Managing Director, the firm more than doubled in size, developed several specialist business advisory service lines and entered an affiliation with UHY International.
Tim is an experienced professional director on commercial boards with a focus on family-run businesses, private companies and professional firms. He is also involved as a trustee on various community trusts.
While Tim’s expertise embodies all aspects of accounting and business advisory, he is particularly passionate about strategic planning, business case proposals, succession planning, business valuations and litigation support.

John established his accountancy practice more than 40 years ago, merging his firm with UHY Haines Norton (or Butts, Bainbridge and Weir as it was known then) in 2001. Although he stepped down from his role as Director in 2014, he continues to assist clients and complex projects as a consultant.
John is a natural leader. His sense of humour and pragmatic personality are admired by clients, UHY staff members and peers alike. He has a fierce dedication to his clients, renowned for always going the extra mile and inspiring great loyalty and respect.
During his career John has amassed a wealth of practical accounting and business advisory expertise. One of the areas he specialises in is providing litigation support in relationship disputes or shareholder/partner conflicts, and providing evidence as a court-appointed expert. He also specialises in the development and management of family trusts, succession and estate planning, ensuring clients have the right structures and strategies in place to best achieve their objectives.
John’s extensive commercial knowledge results from working with clients across a multitude of industries and sectors, and encompasses business and share valuations, charitable trusts, business cases and financial proposals, creditor and liability protection and insurance to risk among many others.
